CLAY WATTERSON
Chief Estimator
Clay Watterson joined Atlantic Site & Marine in the Fall of 2019. Originally from Birmingham, AL, Clay earned his Civil Engineering Degree from Auburn University. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with Wharton-Smith, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA. He continued to pursue advancement in the construction industry by accepting a job with Haskell and moving permanently to Jacksonville, FL. This opportunity provided him with valuable experience in the water and wastewater industry as both a project manager and estimator. While at Haskell, Clay worked with clients such as Nestle Purina, Baxter Healthcare, and JEA.
Clay furthered his experience in construction with a transition to Harry Pepper & Associates. During his time there, he managed projects for clients including the United States Navy in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and the Army Corps of Engineers. A promotion led to heading up the Pre-Construction group at Harry Pepper.
Now with Atlantic Site & Marine, Clay has assumed a leadership role in Pre-Construction and management of ongoing projects. He is a proud husband and father of two boys. On the weekends, you’ll likely find him enjoying a round of golf with friends, supporting the Auburn Tigers, or exploring the best of North Florida’s waterways.
